As part of our Community Social Investment (CSI) program and our commitment to initiatives that create lasting community value, we are proud to support the establishment of a Sensory Integration Room at the Pathology Centre in Marsa Alam, Egypt.
Empowering Children Through Sensory Therapy
The Marsa Alam Pathology Centre provides specialized care for children with sensory and developmental challenges — services otherwise unavailable in the region. The new Sensory Integration Room, the first of its kind in Marsa Alam, offers a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment designed to enhance development, concentration, coordination, and daily functioning. It will directly benefit over 100 children from Marsa Alam and surrounding villages.
Inside the Sensory Integration Room
The room features more than 30 specialized pieces of interactive equipment that help strengthen all areas of sensory processing:
Visual and Auditory
- Disco waterfall and water curtain: enhance visual and auditory attention.
- Interactive panels: over 100 engaging programs for sensory development.
- Dark tunnel: 50 light and speed settings with remote and voice controls.
- Communication fan: supports linguistic stimulation and sensory focus.
- Plasma and ultraviolet lamps: improve sight–touch integration and colour recognition.
Balance, Movement, and Muscle Sensation
- Massage modules, balance beam, and bed: aid fine motor skills and muscle coordination.
- Exercise and balance balls: strengthen balance and body awareness.
Touch, Taste, and Smell
- Tasting sets, hot/cold packs, textured tiles, and perfume diffusers: stimulate tactile, gustatory, and olfactory senses.
- Relaxation and Calming
- Wooden massage sets and swings: promote relaxation, comfort, and a sense of safety.

- Swings: rectangular and cylindrical swings to help aid relaxation, calming and a sense of safety.
Community-Driven Development
The project was completed using 100% locally sourced materials and involved 10 local contractors, underscoring our commitment to community-driven development. Our contribution covered the renovation, construction, and installation of all sensory equipment.
At the opening ceremony, members of our Sukari team, client representatives, and officials from the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Ministry of Education joined local families to celebrate this milestone.
We extend our gratitude to Shane Hardy and Mahmoud Ossama Negm and their teams for leading this impactful project.
