In recognition of World Cleanup Day on 20 September, our Marsa Alam team proudly joined the Marsa Alam Youth Association and HEPCA (Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Association) for a community beach-cleanup.
On this globally-recognised day, which unites millions of volunteers in more than 190 countries in actions to tackle the global waste crisis and protect coastlines and marine environments, our event took on special national and local significance.
The event brought together our hospitality-team members, 20 schoolchildren and five supervisors, alongside HEPCA’s Solid Waste Management Team. Together we collected litter from the shoreline, raised awareness of waste’s impact on our Red Sea coast and underscored the importance of protecting Egypt’s marine and tourism resources.
